The Rules

  • Sip — Jack Dawson sketches someone or a sketchbook is referenced as a character trait
  • Sip — Rose stares out over the ship's bow at the open ocean with visible longing
  • Sip — Cal Hockley belittles Rose or asserts ownership over her with entitled venom
  • Sip — The ship's grand staircase appears in a wide establishing shot
  • Sip — A class divide between first class and steerage is dramatized in a single scene
  • Drink Twice — Jack and Rose's eyes meet across a crowded or contrasting social space
  • Drink Twice — The 'I'm king of the world' moment or the ship bow scene is referenced visually
  • Drink Twice — A Celine Dion musical swell rises on the soundtrack under a romantic moment
  • Shot — The iceberg is struck and the crew realizes the full scope of what has happened

Themed Cocktail

The Heart of the Ocean

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz Cognac
  • 0.75 oz Chambord
  • 0.5 oz crème de violette
  • 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 2 oz Champagne
  • 1 blue sugar crystal rim and lemon twist for garnish

Instructions:

  1. 1Rim a coupe glass with blue sugar crystals moistened with lemon juice.
  2. 2Combine Cognac, Chambord, crème de violette, and lemon juice in a shaker with ice.
  3. 3Shake for 10 seconds and strain into the prepared coupe.
  4. 4Top gently with Champagne and garnish with a lemon twist draped on the rim.
