Themed Cocktail
The Jersey Negroni
Ingredients:
- 1 oz aged rum
- 1 oz Campari
- 1 oz sweet vermouth
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- 1 dash orange bitters
- Orange peel
Instructions:
- 1Fill a rocks glass with one large ice cube or sphere
- 2Pour aged rum, Campari, and sweet vermouth directly over the ice
- 3Add Angostura and orange bitters and stir for 25 slow rotations
- 4The deep red should be the color of a Jersey sunset over the turnpike
- 5Express a wide orange peel over the glass to coat the rim with citrus oil
- 6Rub the peel around the rim, drop it in the glass, and serve without further fanfare
