The Rules
- Sip — Holly reads one of Gerry's pre-written letters aloud or silently
- Sip — Holly's mother Patricia offers unhelpful unsolicited relationship advice
- Sip — a new letter or package from Gerry arrives unexpectedly
- Sip — Holly and her friends visit a new location that Gerry planned
- Sip — Gerry's thick Irish accent is lovingly mocked by another character
- Drink Twice — Holly goes to Ireland and sees where Gerry grew up
- Drink Twice — Holly breaks down crying somewhere completely inappropriate
- Drink Twice — Daniel meets Holly at the karaoke bar for the first time
- Shot — Gerry appears in a flashback fully healthy and laughing with Holly
- Shot — Holly reads the final letter Gerry left just for her future
- Chug — Holly scatters Gerry's fishing lure into the Irish sea and says goodbye
Themed Cocktail
Gerry's Irish Sour
Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz Irish whiskey
- 0.75 oz fresh lemon juice
- 0.5 oz honey syrup
- 0.5 oz elderflower liqueur
- 1 egg white
- 3 dashes Angostura bitters
Instructions:
- 1Dry shake Irish whiskey, lemon juice, honey syrup, elderflower liqueur, and egg white without ice
- 2Add ice and shake hard again for 15 seconds until very cold and frothy
- 3Double strain into a chilled coupe or Nick and Nora glass
- 4Dash Angostura bitters onto the foam in a simple decorative pattern
- 5The honey and elderflower give warmth and floral sweetness against the Irish whiskey
- 6Garnish with a small shamrock stencil pattern in bitters on the foam
