Themed Cocktail
Jacob's Old Fashioned
Ingredients:
- 2 oz rye whiskey
- 0.25 oz demerara syrup
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- 1 dash orange bitters
- 1 large ice sphere
- Orange peel for garnish
Instructions:
- 1Place the large ice sphere into a chilled rocks glass
- 2Pour rye whiskey over the ice and let it chill for 30 seconds
- 3Add demerara syrup, Angostura bitters, and orange bitters directly to the glass
- 4Stir with a bar spoon for 20 full rotations — Jacob would insist on technique
- 5Express an orange peel over the glass to coat the rim with citrus oil
- 6Perch the twisted orange peel on the ice sphere as garnish — elegant, no excess
