The Omar Special

Ingredients:

1.5 oz aged dark rum
0.75 oz blood orange juice
0.5 oz Aperol
0.5 oz fresh lime juice
1 tsp demerara syrup
2 dashes Angostura bitters

Instructions:

1Combine rum, blood orange juice, Aperol, lime juice, and demerara syrup in a shaker with ice.
2Shake vigorously for 12 seconds until well chilled.
3Double strain into a chilled coupe glass.
4Add two dashes of Angostura bitters on top.
5Garnish with a blood orange half-wheel and a toothpick — Omar always came correct.
