The Rules
- Sip — Janet Hodgson speaks in an unnaturally deep voice while possessed
- Sip — Lorraine Warren receives a vision of Ed's death and tries to protect him
- Sip — the Crooked Man appears in a spinning, elongated jump scare
- Sip — the Hodgson family is dismissed by local authorities as frauds or attention seekers
- Sip — Ed Warren plays his guitar or sings to calm a frightened Hodgson child
- Drink Twice — the Nun demon Valak appears reflected in a painting in the Warrens' house
- Drink Twice — Bill Wilkins's ghost speaks through Janet's body about his death
- Drink Twice — the Zoetrope ghost toy spins and reveals a spirit figure
- Shot — Lorraine screams at Valak and commands it to identify itself
- Shot — Valak reveals its true name is written in Lorraine's journal entry
- Chug — Ed grabs Janet as she falls from the tree and Lorraine banishes Valak with its name
Themed Cocktail
Valak's Veil
Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz mezcal
- 0.75 oz blackberry liqueur
- 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice
- 0.5 oz lavender syrup
- 1 oz tonic water
- 1 tsp activated charcoal syrup
Instructions:
- 1Combine mezcal, blackberry liqueur, lemon juice, lavender syrup, and charcoal syrup in a shaker with ice.
- 2Shake for 12 seconds and strain into a stemmed wine glass over ice.
- 3Top with tonic water and gently stir once.
- 4Garnish with a sprig of dried lavender and a fresh blackberry on a pick.
