Speed Drinking Game + Cocktail
Keep the bus above 50 mph and keep drinking — don't you dare slow down.
The Rules
- Sip — The bus speedometer is shown or referenced dropping toward 50 mph
- Sip — Jack Traven cracks a one-liner after a near-death action beat
- Sip — Annie's erratic driving causes a passenger to scream or react
- Sip — Howard Payne calls Jack on the phone to taunt him or issue demands
- Sip — A passenger panics, argues, or tries to escape the bus situation
- Drink Twice — Jack Traven physically crawls under the moving bus to defuse or assess the bomb
- Drink Twice — The bus jumps a gap in the freeway construction at full speed
- Drink Twice — Harry Temple gets shot by Payne or is removed from the situation
- Shot — The bomb goes off and the bus explodes after everyone escapes to the subway train
- Shot — Payne decapitated by a tunnel ceiling sign during the final train showdown
- Chug — The runaway subway train crashes through the construction barrier and slides onto Hollywood Boulevard
Themed Cocktail
Above 50
Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz reposado tequila
- 0.75 oz triple sec
- 1 oz fresh grapefruit juice
- 0.5 oz fresh lime juice
- 0.5 oz agave nectar
- 1 pinch cayenne pepper
Instructions:
- 1Combine tequila, triple sec, grapefruit juice, lime juice, and agave nectar in a shaker with ice.
- 2Add a pinch of cayenne directly into the shaker.
- 3Shake vigorously for 15 seconds — fast, like the bus.
- 4Strain into a chilled salt-rimmed rocks glass over ice.
- 5Garnish with a grapefruit wedge pressed onto the rim.
