  • Sip — Al the Head Angel delivers instructions to Mel Clark in audible whispers
  • Sip — Maggie Nelson threatens to report Knox's bizarre on-field behavior to the league
  • Drink Twice — the Angels pull off a miraculous catch or play with visible divine help
  • Drink Twice — Knox starts to believe in the angels and the team's whole vibe shifts
  • Drink Twice — Hank Murphy dismisses the rally and the camera cuts to the scoreboard
  • Shot — Mel Clark pitches a no-hitter while the angel Al assists every single throw
  • Shot — Knox is told the angels will never return and he must coach on faith alone
  • Chug — the California Angels win the pennant and Knox adopts Roger and JP

Themed Cocktail

Angel Wing Fizz

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz gin
  • 0.75 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 0.5 oz elderflower liqueur
  • 0.5 oz simple syrup
  • 1 oz fresh pressed apple juice
  • 2 oz club soda

Instructions:

  1. 1Combine gin, lemon juice, elderflower liqueur, simple syrup, and apple juice in a shaker with ice.
  2. 2Shake for 12 seconds and strain into a highball glass over ice.
  3. 3Top with club soda and stir gently.
  4. 4Garnish with a thin apple fan and a sprig of fresh thyme.
