Whatever It Takes

Ingredients

• 2 oz bourbon
• 0.75 oz honey syrup
• 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice
• 0.25 oz Averna amaro
• 2 dashes Angostura bitters
• 1 lemon peel (for garnish)

Instructions

1. 1Combine bourbon, honey syrup, lemon juice, Averna amaro, and bitters in a mixing glass with ice
2. 2Stir for 30 seconds until well chilled and slightly diluted
3. 3Strain into a chilled rocks glass over a large hand-cut ice cube
4. 4Express a lemon peel over the top and lay it flat on the ice
5. 5Serve as is — no further garnish, because some things don't need to be complicated
