Themed Cocktail
Sacramento Sunrise
Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz reposado tequila
- 1 oz fresh orange juice
- 0.5 oz fresh lime juice
- 0.5 oz agave syrup
- 1 tsp grenadine
- 1 tsp hot sauce
Instructions:
- 1Combine tequila, orange juice, lime juice, and agave syrup in a shaker with ice
- 2Add hot sauce — the ugly truth is it makes everything better
- 3Shake for 12 seconds and strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice
- 4Slowly pour grenadine down the side of the glass — it will sink and create a sunrise gradient
- 5Do not stir — let the colors separate naturally
- 6Garnish with a half orange wheel and a lime wedge squeezed over the top
