The Rules
- Sip — Neil performs or practices lines from A Midsummer Night's Dream
- Sip — Mr. Keating whistles the 1812 Overture
- Sip — Students answer 'O Captain, My Captain'
- Sip — Charlie Dalton plays his saxophone
- Sip — Todd Anderson visibly struggles to speak in class
- Drink Twice — Mr. Keating makes students stand on their desks
- Drink Twice — The Dead Poets Society reads poetry in the cave
- Drink Twice — Someone yells 'Yawp!' in class or outside
- Shot — Neil removes the Puck costume after his final bow
- Shot — Mr. Keating receives students' farewell desk salute
- Chug — Todd stands on his desk saying 'O Captain, My Captain'
Themed Cocktail
Captain's Cave Whisper
Ingredients:
- 2 oz Bourbon
- 0.75 oz Maple syrup
- 0.5 oz Fresh lemon juice
- 0.25 oz Allspice dram
- 2 dashes Orange bitters
- 1 dash Angostura bitters
Instructions:
- 1Add large ice cube to rocks glass
- 2Combine all ingredients in mixing glass
- 3Add ice and stir for 30 seconds until well-chilled
- 4Strain over large ice cube
- 5Express orange peel over drink and discard
