The Rules

  • Sip — the Necronomicon Ex-Mortis appears and its pages are handled or read aloud
  • Sip — Ash Williams uses a chainsaw, shotgun, or improvised weapon against a Deadite
  • Sip — a Deadite laughs or taunts the living in a mocking demonic voice
  • Sip — the evil force rushes through the trees in a low-angle POV tracking shot
  • Sip — Cheryl Williams warns the group that something terrible is in the woods
  • Drink Twice — a character is possessed by the Kandarian demon and turns on the group
  • Drink Twice — a dismembered body part continues moving on its own after separation
  • Drink Twice — Ash is unable to kill or restrain a possessed family member decisively
  • Shot — Cheryl is attacked and possessed in the woods in the tree assault scene
  • Shot — Ash recites the passages from the Necronomicon into the tape recorder
  • Chug — Ash survives to dawn as all possessed bodies simultaneously decompose in sunlight

Themed Cocktail

Necronomicon Negroni

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz mezcal
  • 1 oz Campari
  • 1 oz sweet vermouth
  • 2 dashes mole bitters
  • 1 dehydrated blood orange wheel (garnish)

Instructions:

  1. 1Combine mezcal, Campari, sweet vermouth, and mole bitters in a mixing glass with ice.
  2. 2Stir for 30 seconds until well chilled and diluted.
  3. 3Strain over a large ice cube into a rocks glass.
  4. 4Garnish with a dehydrated blood orange wheel placed flat on top of the ice.
