Tangled Drinking Game + Cocktail
Every floating lantern deserves a full glass — Rapunzel would want it that way.
The Rules
- Sip — Rapunzel swings or uses her seventy feet of hair as a rope, lasso, or climbing tool
- Sip — Flynn Rider smolders directly at someone and raises a single practiced eyebrow
- Sip — Pascal the chameleon changes color to match either the scenery or Rapunzel's emotion
- Sip — Mother Gothel touches Rapunzel's hair and sings about how much she loves it
- Sip — The Snuggly Duckling thugs reveal their secret wholesome dreams and hobbies
- Drink Twice — The dam bursts in the cave and fills with floodwater trapping Rapunzel and Flynn
- Drink Twice — Flynn/Eugene cuts Rapunzel's hair with a shard of mirror and it all turns brown
- Drink Twice — Mother Gothel ages rapidly and crumbles to dust when the hair turns dark
- Shot — The floating lanterns fill the entire sky above the lake during "I See the Light"
- Shot — Rapunzel's tears revive Flynn after Gothel stabs him
- Chug — Eugene tells his real name is Flynn Rider — except actually it's Eugene Fitzherbert — then asks Rapunzel to marry him at last
Themed Cocktail
Golden Lantern Glow
Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz coconut rum
- 0.75 oz passion fruit puree
- 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice
- 0.5 oz turmeric-honey syrup
- 1 oz mango nectar
- 0.25 oz grenadine
Instructions:
- 1Combine coconut rum, passion fruit puree, lemon juice, turmeric-honey syrup, and mango nectar in a shaker with ice.
- 2Shake hard for 12 seconds — the turmeric will give a warm golden glow to the drink.
- 3Strain into a stemmed coupe glass over no ice.
- 4Very slowly pour grenadine down the inside wall so it pools at the bottom like a lantern's flame.
- 5Garnish with an edible gold sugar rim and a small paper lantern pick if available.
