The Rules
- Sip — Carrie Bradshaw types a pun-based question at her laptop to open the episode
- Sip — the girls are shown at Pastis or Nobu with full cocktails mid-conversation
- Sip — Samantha Jones drops a line sexually explicit as an opener to a business point
- Sip — Charlotte York Goldenblatt adjusts her posture and gasps at something modern
- Sip — Miranda Hobbes is the most practical person in the room and is ignored for it
- Drink Twice — a new Manolo Blahnik or Chanel purchase is shown as an emotional response
- Drink Twice — Carrie narrates something that contradicts what she just did on screen
- Drink Twice — Big says 'Carrie' in a way that means ten different things simultaneously
- Shot — Carrie leaves a Post-it note breakup or receives one and reads it on screen
- Shot — Mr. Big drives by in his town car during a moment Carrie specifically chose to move on
- Chug — Carrie and Big get back together after she said she was done for the final time
Themed Cocktail
The Cosmopolitan
Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz Cointreau
- 1 oz citrus vodka
- 0.75 oz fresh lime juice
- 0.5 oz cranberry juice
- 0.25 oz rose syrup
- 1 lime wheel
Instructions:
- 1Chill a martini glass with ice water while preparing the drink.
- 2Combine Cointreau, citrus vodka, lime juice, cranberry juice, and rose syrup in a shaker with ice.
- 3Shake hard for 15 seconds until extremely cold and slightly frothy.
- 4Discard the ice water from the martini glass and double strain the cocktail in.
- 5Garnish with a lime wheel on the rim — it should be perfect pink. It always should be.
