The Rules
- Sip — Jack Sparrow staggers, stumbles, or lurches unpredictably while walking somewhere
- Sip — Jack Sparrow says 'Savvy?' as a punctuation to any explanation or statement
- Sip — Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann share a loaded romantic glance without speaking
- Sip — The Black Pearl or the Interceptor fires cannons in a naval broadside exchange
- Sip — Captain Barbossa eats an apple — biting, inspecting, or holding one on screen
- Drink Twice — The moonlight reveals Barbossa's crew as undead skeletal pirates mid-scene
- Drink Twice — Jack Sparrow escapes custody using an absurd improvised trick nobody predicted
- Drink Twice — Norrington gives an official speech about his duty as Commodore of the Navy
- Shot — The Black Pearl rises from the ocean and attacks Port Royal at night — the opening ambush
- Shot — Elizabeth burns the rum and the camp — 'But why is the rum gone?' Jack surveys the smoke
- Chug — Jack Sparrow is hanged at the gallows and Will Turner appears on horseback to save him
Themed Cocktail
Black Pearl Punch
Ingredients:
- 2 oz dark rum
- 0.75 oz fresh lime juice
- 0.5 oz coconut syrup
- 0.5 oz passion fruit syrup
- 0.25 oz Angostura bitters
- 1 oz ginger beer
Instructions:
- 1Combine dark rum, lime juice, coconut syrup, passion fruit syrup, and bitters in a shaker with ice.
- 2Shake vigorously for 12 seconds and strain into a tall glass over crushed ice.
- 3Top with ginger beer and stir once gently.
- 4Garnish with a lime wheel, a skewer of pineapple chunks, and a tiny Jolly Roger cocktail flag pick.
