  • Sip — The Elephant-shaped rooftop theatre is shown from the outside
  • Sip — Harold Zidler performs an elaborate physical distraction for the Duke
  • Sip — Satine coughs and hides her tuberculosis symptoms from Christian
  • Sip — A classic pop song is remixed and performed in the Moulin Rouge setting
  • Drink Twice — The Duke threatens to withdraw funding if he doesn't get Satine
  • Drink Twice — Satine and Christian sneak away to meet in secret against orders
  • Drink Twice — Nini Legs-in-the-Air tries to sabotage Christian or Satine's plan
  • Shot — Satine collapses on stage and cannot continue performing
  • Shot — Christian discovers Satine was told to push him away for her own survival
  • Chug — Satine dies in Christian's arms after their final performance together

Themed Cocktail

La Belle Satine

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz cognac
  • 0.5 oz raspberry liqueur
  • 0.5 oz lemon juice
  • 0.25 oz simple syrup
  • 3 oz dry champagne

Instructions:

  1. 1Combine cognac, raspberry liqueur, lemon juice, and simple syrup in a shaker with ice.
  2. 2Shake briefly and strain into a chilled champagne flute.
  3. 3Top gently with dry champagne.
  4. 4Do not stir — let the layers settle naturally.
  5. 5Garnish and serve immediately.
