The Rules

  • Sip — Joy literally glows gold and spins while narrating Riley's positive memories
  • Sip — Sadness touches a memory orb and it shifts from golden yellow to blue
  • Sip — Bing Bong waves his trunk and sings the Bing Bong Song to cheer someone up
  • Sip — Fear catastrophizes a new scenario before anything bad has actually happened
  • Sip — Anger's head ignites into a small flame when his frustration level maxes out
  • Drink Twice — A core memory island crumbles into the Memory Dump in the dark abyss below
  • Drink Twice — Joy and Sadness fall out of headquarters and land in Long Term Memory
  • Drink Twice — Bing Bong sacrifices himself by jumping out of the rocket wagon over the pit
  • Shot — Sadness touches the core memories and turns them blue — and Joy realizes this is okay
  • Shot — Riley returns home and breaks down crying in front of her parents on the floor
  • Chug — Joy weeps alone in the Memory Dump clutching the golden orb — Sadness appears beside her

Themed Cocktail

Bing Bong's Candy Tears

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz coconut rum
  • 0.75 oz raspberry liqueur
  • 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 0.5 oz cotton candy syrup
  • 1 oz pineapple juice
  • 0.25 oz butterfly pea flower syrup

Instructions:

  1. 1Combine coconut rum, raspberry liqueur, lemon juice, cotton candy syrup, and pineapple juice in a shaker with ice.
  2. 2Shake for 12 seconds and strain into a rocks glass over ice.
  3. 3Slowly pour butterfly pea flower syrup over a spoon so it floats on top in a purple-blue layer.
  4. 4Watch the drink shift from pink to purple to represent the emotional color spectrum.
  5. 5Garnish with a small piece of cotton candy balanced on the rim — it will dissolve slowly like Bing Bong.
