The Rules
- Sip — Frank Barone delivers a brutally dismissive one-liner and immediately opens the newspaper
- Sip — Marie Barone criticizes Debra's cooking, housekeeping, or parenting abilities
- Sip — Ray lies to Debra about something to avoid a fight and makes it worse
- Sip — Robert complains that their parents always loved Raymond more than him
- Sip — Frank says 'Holy crap!' in response to any piece of family news
- Drink Twice — Marie brings food over to Ray and Debra's house uninvited and walks right in
- Drink Twice — Debra and Ray argue about the division of household responsibilities
- Drink Twice — Robert's low self-esteem about women, his job, or his height comes up
- Shot — Frank and Marie have a rare genuine moment of affection that immediately turns into bickering
- Shot — Ray does something spectacularly selfish and somehow gets away with it
- Chug — The whole Barone family is crammed into Ray and Debra's living room uninvited at once
Themed Cocktail
Marie's Meatball Manhattan
Ingredients:
- 2 oz rye whiskey
- 1 oz sweet vermouth
- 0.25 oz Benedictine
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- 1 dash orange bitters
Instructions:
- 1Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice.
- 2Stir for 30 seconds until chilled and properly diluted.
- 3Strain into a chilled coupe glass.
- 4Express an orange peel over the surface.
- 5Garnish and serve.
