The Rules

  • Sip — Mari Makinami appears in Unit-02 Beast Mode and lets out a battle cry
  • Sip — Shinji and Rei share a meal or domestic moment at Misato's apartment
  • Sip — Asuka Langley Shikinami is dismissive of Shinji's piloting ability
  • Sip — A new Angel manifests and breaches NERV's first defensive perimeter
  • Sip — Gendo's secret Instrumentality agenda is hinted at in a conversation with Yui's grave
  • Drink Twice — Rei absorbs the Angel Zeruel inside Unit-00 in a sacrificial act
  • Drink Twice — Shinji overrides NERV's abort command and continues fighting in Unit-01
  • Drink Twice — The dummy system is activated against Shinji's or a pilot's will
  • Shot — Unit-01 sprouts wings and begins ascending toward proto-Third Impact
  • Shot — Kaworu Nagisa descends from space and stops Unit-01 with the Lance of Longinus
  • Chug — Unit-01 tears open Zeruel to rescue Rei and begins the Near-Third Impact sequence

Themed Cocktail

Near-Third Impact

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz Japanese whisky
  • 0.5 oz honey syrup
  • 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 0.25 oz ginger liqueur
  • 1 dash Peychaud's bitters
  • 1 egg white

Instructions:

  1. 1Combine all ingredients in a shaker without ice and dry shake for 15 seconds.
  2. 2Add ice and shake again vigorously for 12 seconds.
  3. 3Double strain into a chilled coupe glass.
  4. 4Dot bitters on the foam and draw a pattern with a toothpick.
  5. 5Garnish and serve.
