  • Drink Twice — Elizabeth escapes or foils an assassination attempt on her life
  • Drink Twice — The Catholic Church or Pope moves openly against Elizabeth's reign

Themed Cocktail

Virgin Queen's Mead

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz mead or honey wine
  • 0.75 oz brandy
  • 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 0.25 oz rosemary simple syrup
  • 2 oz dry sparkling white wine

Instructions:

  1. 1Combine mead, brandy, lemon juice, and rosemary syrup in a mixing glass with ice.
  2. 2Stir gently for 15 rotations to combine without over-diluting.
  3. 3Strain into a goblet over one large ice cube.
  4. 4Top with dry sparkling white wine.
  5. 5Garnish and serve.
