The Rules
- Sip — Paul Atreides has a vision or prophetic dream sequence
- Sip — Someone says 'the spice' or 'spice melange' in dialogue
- Sip — A sandworm appears on screen or is referenced with fear
- Sip — Lady Jessica uses the Voice to command someone
- Sip — The Bene Gesserit sisterhood or their plans are mentioned
- Drink Twice — Duncan Idaho fights or kills multiple opponents at once
- Drink Twice — Stilgar addresses Paul with reverence or suspicion
- Drink Twice — The Gom Jabbar test scene plays out
- Shot — Paul survives the Gom Jabbar test against all expectations
- Shot — Chani appears to Paul in a vision for the first time
- Chug — Paul and Jessica escape into the deep desert alone
Themed Cocktail
Spice Melange Sipper
Ingredients:
- 2 oz mezcal
- 0.5 oz fresh grapefruit juice
- 0.5 oz Aperol
- 0.25 oz agave nectar
- 2 dashes cardamom bitters
- 1 pinch saffron-infused simple syrup (0.25 oz)
Instructions:
- 1Steep a small pinch of saffron in warm simple syrup for 10 minutes and let cool.
- 2Combine mezcal, grapefruit juice, Aperol, agave nectar, saffron syrup, and cardamom bitters in a mixing glass with ice.
- 3Stir for 25 rotations until chilled and slightly diluted.
- 4Strain into a chilled Nick and Nora glass.
- 5Garnish and serve immediately.
