The Compound V

Ingredients

• 2 oz mezcal
• 0.75 oz fresh lime juice
• 0.5 oz agave syrup
• 0.25 oz grenadine
• 2 dashes Angostura bitters
• 1 oz ginger beer

Instructions

1. 1Add mezcal, lime juice, agave syrup, and bitters to a shaker with ice.
2. 2Shake hard for 12 seconds until frost forms on the outside.
3. 3Strain into a rocks glass over a single large ice cube.
4. 4Slowly pour grenadine down one side so it sinks and pools at the bottom like Compound V.
5. 5Top with ginger beer and let the red swirl up through the smoke.
