The Bickle Bitter
Inspired by Taxi Driver
Ingredients
- 2 oz rye whiskey
- 0.75 oz Fernet-Branca
- 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice
- 0.25 oz demerara syrup
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- Lemon peel for garnish
Instructions
- 1Combine rye, Fernet-Branca, lemon juice, demerara syrup, and bitters in a shaker with ice.
- 2Shake for 10 seconds. This one bites.
- 3Strain into a rocks glass over a single large ice cube.
- 4Express a lemon peel over the drink and drop it in.
- 5Drink alone at the counter. Obviously.
