The Ambrose Melt

Ingredients

• 1.5 oz rye whiskey
• 0.5 oz honey liqueur
• 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice
• 0.25 oz beeswax-infused simple syrup
• 2 dashes Angostura bitters
• 1 large ice cube

Instructions

1. 1To make beeswax syrup, melt 1 tsp beeswax into equal parts hot water and sugar, stir, and strain when cool.
2. 2Combine rye, honey liqueur, lemon juice, and beeswax syrup in a shaker with ice.
3. 3Shake well for 10 seconds and strain over a large ice cube in a rocks glass.
4. 4Add bitters on top.
5. 5Garnish and serve while the ice slowly melts — thematically appropriate.
