The Crimson Count

Ingredients

• 2 oz dry red wine (Malbec or Shiraz)
• 1 oz tawny port
• 0.5 oz black cherry liqueur
• 0.25 oz balsamic reduction
• 1 dash orange bitters
• 2 oz chilled sparkling water

Instructions

1. 1Combine red wine, port, black cherry liqueur, and balsamic reduction in a mixing glass with ice.
2. 2Stir briefly for 10 seconds — do not over-dilute.
3. 3Strain into a large wine glass over a single large ice cube.
4. 4Top with sparkling water and add bitters.
5. 5Garnish and serve immediately.
