Water of Life

Ingredients

• 1.5 oz aged rum
• 0.75 oz Bénédictine
• 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice
• 0.25 oz honey syrup
• 2 dashes Peychaud's bitters
• 1 bar spoon absinthe rinse

Instructions

1. 1Rinse a snifter with absinthe, swirl to coat, and discard the excess.
2. 2Combine rum, Bénédictine, lemon juice, and honey syrup in a shaker with ice.
3. 3Shake for 12 seconds and strain into the absinthe-rinsed snifter.
4. 4Add Peychaud's bitters on top.
5. 5Serve without ice to let the aromas open up.
