Ingredients

• 2 oz rye whiskey
• 0.75 oz blood orange juice
• 0.5 oz Averna amaro
• 0.25 oz maple syrup
• 2 dashes Angostura bitters
• 1 dash orange bitters

Instructions

1. 1Add rye whiskey, blood orange juice, Averna, maple syrup, and both bitters to a mixing glass with ice.
2. 2Stir for 20 seconds until well chilled.
3. 3Strain over a single large ice cube in a rocks glass.
4. 4Express an orange peel over the surface and drop it in. Garnish: orange peel.
