The Horseman's Nightcap

Ingredients

• 2 oz mezcal
• 0.5 oz dark cherry liqueur
• 0.5 oz Punt e Mes
• 2 dashes Angostura bitters
• 1 dash black walnut bitters
• 1 Luxardo cherry

Instructions

1. 1Combine mezcal, cherry liqueur, Punt e Mes, and both bitters in a mixing glass with ice.
2. 2Stir for 30 seconds until well chilled — this is not a fast drink.
3. 3Strain into a chilled rocks glass over a large single ice cube.
4. 4Drop a Luxardo cherry into the glass — no garnish on the rim, just the cherry sinking to the bottom.
