Ingredients

2 oz rye whiskey
0.5 oz Fernet-Branca
0.5 oz simple syrup
0.75 oz fresh lime juice
3 dashes Angostura bitters
1 oz ginger beer

Instructions

1Combine rye, Fernet-Branca, simple syrup, lime juice, and bitters in a shaker with ice.
2Shake hard for 12 seconds.
3Strain into a copper mug or highball glass over fresh ice.
4Top with ginger beer.
5Garnish with a lime wedge and a sprig of mint.
